Donate Equipment

We’re always looking for equipment for our players! As long as it is still functional (please, toss your own badly damaged or beyond-repair equipment), we can likely put it to use.

You can drop it off at one of our practices (typically at the Ice Plex – check our calendar) or contact to make other arrangements.

Youth teams – we’d love to receive items from equipment drives!

Fundraise for us!

Do you/your team need to do a service project? We’d be happy to work with you to set up and easy way for you to do a peer-to-peer fundraiser, and do all the tracking for you!

See our list of ongoing fundraisers HERE.

Much of what we raise goes to pay for ice time. We appreciate everyone’s support!

Hockey Helmet Reimbursement

Wearing a hockey helmet is a simple yet effective way to protect yourself/your participant from head injuries and stay safe while enjoying the sport. It’s a small investment in a player’s well-being that can make a significant difference in preventing serious injuries on the ice.

At Triangle Special Hockey, we rely a lot on equipment donations. This is fine for most things (sticks, gloves, skates and pads) but not so much for helmets.

When we get a helmet donation, we don’t always know its history. It may have been on a youngster who had never fallen down – or from someone who played in a checking league and got banged around a lot.

If you are just starting out:

Just about any hockey helmet will do as long as it has a “cage” and appropriate straps. We will give out the helmets we have to our beginners while supplies last.

If we run out of helmets, we will offer you $50 toward purchase of a helmet – to be paid after you attend 6 practices in our program.

Learn-to-Play Participants

Once you have been in the program awhile and are starting to play more competitively, you must have a helmet that has been fitted to your head and is not expired.

If you need financial assistance to help pay for a helmet, we can offer $50 toward that purchase one time, and then at the League’s discretion thereafter.
